Can I fly to Nusa Penida or Lembongan
The boats depart from Sanur beach (Matahari Terbit Beach) for Nusa Penida and Nusa Lembongan. Padang Bai for The Lombok and Gilis
Lembongan and Nusa Penida can be visited in a day however Nusa Penida has a lot of things to see and do therefore you might be best to stay at least one night in the Nusa Penida. The Gili Islands can’t be visit in just one day.
Boats to the Gili islands depart from Padang Bay. We recommend the shortest crossing from Padang Bay to the Gilis/Lombok and Sanur Beach to Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Penida
If you wish to visit Nusa Ceningan then you should get off the boat in Lembongan and rent a motorbike to tour the island and cross the famous yellow bridge to Nusa Ceningan
It is not recommended to take a day trip to the Gili’s since the total journey time can be 3-4 hours including the transfer and boat
Our recommended fast boats provide paid transport from designated pick up points in Bali to Padang Bay
Padang Bay can be 45 minutes from Sanur or 90 minutes from Kuta, Legian or Seminyak
Transport is by private car and can be book at the time of making your fastboats booking
Depending on the seasonality some boats will run twice a day with two transfers in the morning (outbound from Bali) and two transfers in the afternoon (return from Gilis)
We recommend you prebook your return transfer from Padang bai to your preferred resort area to avoid any scams
You do not have to return to the same place as you were picked up. You just need to let the fast boat staff know your preferred drop-off point.
The seas can be unpredictable and boats can sometimes be cancelled due to bad weather. It is therefore advisable to ensure you arrive back in Bali at least 24 hours prior to your flight in order that you do not miss it
All bookings should be made 24 hours in advance. It is good to make a booking as early as possible since the boats can fill up very quickly.
You can make a booking easily online. We accept most international credit cards as well as transfer via Wise or Indonesian bank transfer. You can also visit a local minimart and pay via there as well if you prefer.
We do not charge any credit card or booking fees. This cost is absorbed in our pricing. Your bank might charge additional fees which you need to check with your card provider. There are fees associated with cancellations only.
We use Indonesian Rupiah to be most transparent since exchange rates can vary
You should receive an email immediately after you have made a booking confirming your reservation. Please ensure you check your spam mail.

We need your contact telephone and email in case we have to contact you with regards to re-scheduling as well as to reconfirm your pick up point and time
If you need to cancel or modify your reservation then you need to contact or the fast boat operator directly as detailed on your ticket confirmation
If amendments and cancellations are made prior to your outbound journey within the specified time prior to departure there will be no charge for an amendment. Cancellation might bu subject to transactions fees
On your reservation, you should specify whether you need a pick-up or not and from which location you require your pick up
If the boat is canceled due to unforeseen circumstances such as weather or other reasons then you will be notified by phone or email.
For bookings from and to Padang Bay, you need to indicate on your booking that you will require transport. Ensure you leave your contact details correctly and the boat operator will be in touch to reconfirm directly and coordinate your transport requirements.

The transportation is priced in a private car therefore there is a minimum fee. From most areas in South Bali (and Ubud) the fee is around Rp135,000 per person with a minimum 2 people. In others words if you are a single traveler the price for a car is Rp270,000
You pay separately for the transport directly to the Transport driver at the time of pickup. We (The Bali Fastboats) do not take any payment for the transport.
Payment is made in advance to our secure online payment gateway.
Transport is not included and you are responsible to pay direct to the driver in cash.
Taxes and service charges are inclusive
The fast boat transfer to Lembongan and Nusa Penida is approximately 45 minutes
The fast boat transfer to the Gili Islands is between 2 – 2/12 hours.
The islands are carefree and therefore it is recommended to travel as lightly as possible. Although most boats allow up to 25 kilos of luggage it can be cumbersome for you to get large luggage on and off the boat, along jetties or beaches or sand roads (mostly in the Gilis). Most hotels/guests houses in Bali will be able to store some luggage for you whilst you are away.
Be prepared to get your feet wet! Transfers from Sanur, Gili Trawangan, Nusa Penida and Lembongan are beach whereas Padang Bay, Gili Air and Lombok (Bangsal) have jetties.
Pack as lightly as possible since transport is limited especially on the Gilis and Lembongan and you will have difficulties should you take heavy bulky luggage
Surf, Snorkelling, and Dive equipment is allowed on all fast boats
Pets are not allowed on the fast boats
You transfers are covered by insurance by the fast boat company however it is always recommended to have personal travel insurance since the quality of cover and care provided under international travel insurance is far superior
On the Gili Islands, there is only non-motorized transport whereas on Lembongan there are motorbikes and pick up trucks and in Nusa Penida, there are cars and motorbikes.

It is advisable to contact the fast boat office 24 hours before your return to confirm your return ticket and check at what time you should check in to receive your boarding pass
You are flexible to change or amend your ticket prior to departure by contacting the fast boat operator direct as detailed on your confirmation. Should you wish to amend your return journey then you should call or visit the office on the respective island and check availability.
